Carmel:
Typically used as a colorant.  It does however contribute aromas and flavors that add to the sensory qualities of the final product

Charcoal:
Typically used as a colorant, odor absorber and is an excellent ailment for dogs with stomach sensitivities.  It is an excellent source of calcium and magnesium phosphate. 

Chicken fat:
Chicken fat is obtained from the tissues of chickens in the commercial process of rendering or extracting.  Chicken fat is the highest of all animal sources in linoleic acid (over 23%).  It is an important element for skin and coat health.

Cheddar cheese:
An excellent source of calcium and adds a unique, natural and defined flavor to the biscuit.

Garlic:
Garlic is the whole clove of the garlic plant.  Garlic is valued for its anti-oxidant properties, as well as its enjoyable flavor.

Malto dextrin:
A flavorless, easily digested carbohydrate made from natural corn starch.  Maltodextrin is a convenient source of energy and facilitates the fast delivery and uptake by muscle tissue of vital nutrients that aid in muscle glycogen replacement after exercise.

Parsley:
A fairly common spice used in American, European and Middle Eastern cooking.  Some research has been linked parsley to success with animals with kidney problems.

Peanuts:
The whole un-ground peanut, devoid of the shell.  An excellent source of protein and monounsaturated fats.

Sea Salt:
Sea salt, also know as solar salt, is a natural mineral necessary for life and good health.

Spearmint:
Typically used to enhance the flavor and aroma of pet food.  Also used to aid stomach issues in animals. 

Turmeric:
A spice commonly used in curries and other South Asian cooking.  It is typically used a colorant.  Also used to aid stomach issues in animals.  It’s principle component, curcumin, is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.
