Peanut Butter Banana Dog Popsicle Recipe

Does your dog come strolling into the kitchen when you twist open the lid of the peanut butter jar? Ours, too! Peanut butter dog treats are popular for good reason—dogs love peanut butter!—so why not whip up a pupsicle for your four-legged family member? Popsicles for dogs are popular homemade dog treats, no matter the temperature outside!

You might want to order silicone molds in the shape of dog paws or bones to ramp up the cute factor of these puppy popsicles. They’ll be a worthwhile investment if you plan on making homemade dog treats often!

Here’s how to make dog popsicles your pup will go bananas for! (Sorry for the pun; we couldn’t help ourselves.)

Peanut Butter Banana Frozen Treats

Ingredients:

1 Banana

1/2 Cup natural creamy peanut butter

1/4 Cup coconut oil

Old Mother Hubbard P-Nuttier small treats, chopped into bits

Directions:

1. Place all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl and combine with a hand mixer.

2. Spoon mixture into the silicone molds. If you don’t have the molds, you can also spoon a large tablespoon of the mixture onto a baking sheet to make small frozen cookies.

3. Sprinkle the Old Mother Hubbard P-Nuttier chopped bits (or any other Old Mother Hubbard treat) onto the dog popsicles in the molds or on the tray. You could also add the chopped treats to the bottom of the molds before spooning in the dog treat mixture.

4. Place the pupsicles in the freezer for at least four hours. Pop them out of the silicone mold or remove them from the tray to serve to your patiently-waiting pup!

Store in an airtight container in the freezer.

Please note: Treats should be kept to 10% of your dog’s daily food intake to keep nutritional balance.
